The following is a description by category of some of the types
of cases in which I have been involved during my career. Some were resolved without suit; others were settled during the pending litigation; others were tried either to a judge or to a jury; and some of the cases that were tried ultimately reached the appellate level, including the Appeals Court or the Supreme Judicial Court.

- Divorce and Family Law – divorce
cases, paternity cases, custody disputes, modification
of divorce and paternity judgments, claims for
alimony, child support, and parenting dispute
cases.
- Business litigation – contract
disputes; closely-held shareholder and partnership
disputes, including breach of fiduciary duty
claims, breach of confidentiality claims; enforcement
and defense non-competition and non-solicitation
agreements; prosecution and defense of unfair
and deceptive trade practice claims, including
unfair competition; trade secret litigation;
claims for accounting; claims for breaches of
covenants of good faith and fair dealing, breaches
of duty of loyalty, and usurpation of corporate
opportunity.
- Employment Disputes – litigation
involving prosecution and defense of wrongful
termination of employment claims, discrimination
in employment claims including race, handicap,
age, gender, and sexual harassment claims.
- Real estate Litigation –land
use disputes, retention of deposit claims,
broker’s commission claims, boundary
disputes, specific performance of offers to
purchase and purchase and sale agreements.
- Appellate Litigation – represented
clients in the Appeals Court and the Supreme
Judicial Court in a variety of business and
commercial disputes.
- Board of Registration Licensing/Disciplinary
Proceedings – represented
numerous professional and applicants for
licensure before various Boards of Registration
including the Boards of Registration in
Psychology, Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing.
